Nutrition in the light of Anthroposophy
Lecture by Prof. Elaine de Azevedo
This lecture will address some aspects of nutrition from an anthroposophical perspective and explore the different layers of healthy eating: in addition to health and quality of life, the impact of nutrition on the social, environmental and spiritual spheres.
The idea is to provide an impetus for self-care through real nutrition, since a healthy organism is the ground for the growth of willpower and the development of real actions.
Elaine de Azevedo is a nutritionist with a specialization in Anthroposophic Medicine. She completed internships in Anthroposophic Medicine clinics in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. She has a master's degree in Agroecosystems, a PhD in Political Sociology and has a post-doctorate in Public Health. Currently, she is a professor of sociology of food and health in the Social Sciences Department at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, as well as a lecturer in Biodynamic Agriculture trainings and Waldorf Seminars in Brazil, where she lives.
